daily / the saga

Not much to report, healing as expected. I can lay on my stomach again and walking causes no pain. Sitting on a chair for an hour or so makes my lower ribs hurt a bit though, I wonder if they got nudged them when the surgeon made the top 2 holes (they're just below the ribs).

daily / operation

Yay, it's all done. The operation went smoothly and I was back home 18 hours after waking up in the recovery ward. Spending the next 2 days mainly in bed and on the fold-out couch in the living room.

I have a bit of a stomach ache, but it feels more like muscle pain than anything else.

All good!

daily / de opsital

Update: The surgeon will probably poke me with pointy sticks at the end of next week or at the start of the week after that. He'll remove all of my sarcasm ;-)

daily / morphine

And what an exciting week it's been! On sunday morning at 3am I went to the emergency ward of the local hospital with rather nasty stomach pains. A few hours later I was on an IV drip, completely passed out on morphine. (yay!)

After some to-ing and fro-ing involving my doctor and an ultrasound this week, I now know I have a nice gall stone. (not yay!)

Off to the specialist now, to see if he can take it out (possibly today). (yay!)
