Quantum waveform of a Tunneling KittenI believe kittens lose the ability to quantum-tunnel through doors, fly-screens, windows, walls, humans and various other obscacles after about 6 months.

Mustafa tried yesterday, but failed miserably.

Your Inner European is French!

Smart and sophisticated. You have the best of everything - at least, *you* think so.

Who's Your Inner European?

Of course, if you pick wild nightclubs and weed, you get to be dutch ;-)

After some discussion with seveas, an rsync problem, where rsync would first delete, then re-upload the same files between seveas.ubuntulinux.nl and mirror2 and mirror3 of same has been sorted. Fix-by-upgrade. Not my favourite.

However, the changelog does say:

Incidentally, mirror2 is the Linode box I mentioned earlier.

daily / noise pollution

For a while now I've been wondering about the impact of "exhaust kits" that many cars have fitted these days. They're designed to maximise the noise the car makes when running. From the smell of most of them, they also maximise the pollutant output.

The reason I mention these is that I increasingly find myself getting annoyed at noise pollution, specifically needlessly loud cars.

Is there any sane reason hundreds of people should be disturbed because young $INSERT_LITTLE_BOYS_NAME needs to hear noise when he tries to accelerate his Lancer or WRX from 50 to 55 km/h?

For that matter, do these exhausts affect other pollution levels? Is there a decibel limit to the amount of noise a vehicle can legally produce? Is that limit actually enforced? Ever? Should it be?
